October 31st one of our board members had the pleasure of attending a book delivery at Kootenai Elementary School. Book Deliveries are such fun events that they decided to include this one in their Halloween party celebrations! Scholastic also gave every child an extra book this month!
Yesterday, July 1st, Baxter’s on Cedar invited us to fund-raise for Book Trust in their restaurant during lunch and dinner. They generously donated 5% of their profits from the day and we were able to hold a raffle on site as well. We appreciate the hard work of our board members and their donations to the raffle prize.
We want to thank everyone who purchased tickets for our amazing literature raffle and a big congratulations to our winner!
The Village Green Project is proud to announce that in March House Bill 183 was passed by the Idaho State Legislature requiring the state to post the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline number in all rest stops across the state of Idaho as well as the number for the Idaho state office of crimes victims advocacy. This is a great step towards a comprehensive anti-human trafficking plan in the state of Idaho. Read the bill.
Village Green Project is responsible for raising the necessary funds to create, post, and maintain these signs.
